Helping Hands

9th Dec, 2020

Hello there!

Earlier last month, super typhoon Ulysses hit the Philippines. Metro Manila, Rizal, Bicol and other parts of the country was submerged in muddy flood where tens of thousands were affected.

Due to the typhoon’s heavy rainfall, the Marikina River: largest tributary in the area;
overflowed and caused flash floods. Residents were rescued from their homes as the flood reached the height of a house and a lot of people got stranded on their roofs with no source of electricity, shelter, food or dry clothing.

Parrots Kun Eikaiwa took part with the relief program and donated canned goods, coffee and other necessities that will be sent to Marikina for distribution.

Filipinos are known for their kindness and compassion to others. Numerous organizations and groups initiated relief drive to the affected families and gathered food, clothing, necessities and cash donations for the victims.

We take pride of our former teacher, Teacher Jean as a representative of PSU’s Student Regent who initiated the relief program. PSU’s student council decided to reach out and ask for people who have donations that they would like to send to the Typhoon victims.
We hope that our kind donation can help people from those affected areas.
